Through My Eyes: Diversity in My Community Youth Art Contest Returns to First Friday ArtWalk FLG
FLAGSTAFF, AZ – The Northern Arizona Association of REALTORS® Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion committee has teamed up once again with ArtWalkFLG to host a Diversity Art Contest. Following a successful inaugural event in 2022, the partner agencies are excited to once again shine a light on our community’s youth artists through this contest.
The Through My Eyes contest is open to school age youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. Finalists will have their artwork displayed on Heritage Square during First Friday ArtWalk on April 7, 2023. The public is invited to participate by voting on their favorite pieces during the ArtWalk. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category: Kindergarten – 2nd grade, 3rd grade – 5th grade, Middle School, and High School. Submissions are open for all mediums, as long as they are able to be displayed in Heritage Square.
All submitted artworks must respond to the theme ‘Through My Eyes: Diversity in My Community.’
Artworks must be submitted by March 23, 2023. Finalists will be notified before March 31, 2023. Finalists must drop off artwork between April 3-5, 2023, to the Downtown Business Alliance office located at 6 E Aspen Ave, Suite 200.
ArtWalk FLG is a partnership between the Downtown Business Alliance and Creative Flagstaff.
