March 2023 Newsletter

"Let's hope the April showers are minimal and that all of our showers bring May flowers. As the weather warms up, so will our selling season. We are starting to see multiple offers again and offers getting more aggressive. A couple of things that I hope you will keep in mind: be sure to protect your clients and disclose the risks that come with certain aspects of these aggressive offers. Also, remember that as agents we are all on the same Northern Arizona Association of REALTORS® team and we can be aggressive with the offers we present but we don't need to be aggressive with each other. Let's remember to always be courteous and respectful.

We also need to have our radars up because the scammers are out there in full force. There are a lot of scammers trying to get us to sell vacant land that isn't theirs. As REALTORS® we are eager to please and, of course, want to make a sale, but be careful! There are things to look for in these emails, and title searches and our Forewarn app are great tools to decipher if these requests are valid or not. There is also another email going around from a "buyer" looking for multi-million dollar properties and wanting to be contacted via WhatsApp. Read these emails carefully and you will see they are fishy. If you don't trust a lead reach out to your broker or myself and we will be able to guide you. We want you to stay safe and protected.

This April let's have fun selling real estate! I hope to see you at The Art Walk on Heritage Square, the upcoming Mixer, the Lunch and Learns and out and about showing homes!"

Women's History Month

March is recognized as Women's History Month, and is a time to celebrate the achievements of women while promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within our own community.

For Real Estate, a traditionally male-dominated field, women have made significant strides and are now leading in many aspects of the industry, including brokerage, property management, and development.

By celebrating Women's Month in Real Estate, NAAR's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee shines a light on their achievements while continuing to provide opportunities for women to lead and excel, promote equal pay, and challenge gender bias.

Nominate a Real Estate Professional
