FLAGSTAFF, AZ – Once a year, Arizona REALTORS® honors one REALTOR® and one REALTOR® Association for improving the world around them through community service. This year, Flagstaff REALTOR®, Travis Joralmon, is recognized as the recipient of the Arizona Association of REALTORS® 2022 Community Outreach Award.

Travis Joralmon is a Coach, Adult Unified Partner, Member of the Area Development Committee, and a Local Booster for Special Olympics. In these roles, he makes a positive impact on the lives of Flagstaff area athletes by coaching the track and field and softball teams as well as organizing fundraising events with local business and venues.

Travis started volunteering with Special Olympics when he was in 8th grade and has served hundreds of people with hundreds of hours committed toward volunteer work with Special Olympics over the past two decades. In August 2022, Joralmon secured a new venue for their Bare Aspen Wine & Beer Tasting fundraiser, helping raise over $30,000 for Arizonans with intellectual disabilities.

Rubett Gracia, Mountain and Northern Monument Area Director, Special Olympics Arizona writes, “Travis Joralmon has been instrumental in making a positive impact on the lives of Flagstaff Area athletes and teams. He gives so much of himself and makes a significant impact for Special Olympics Mountain Area Athletes, and we are truly fortunate to have such a giving and supportive volunteer!”

This past summer, Joralmon was selected as track and field coach to represent Arizona at the Special Olympics USA games in Orlando, Florida, bringing home 32 metals and a lot of wonderful memories.

Contributing to his nomination, President and CEO of Special Olympics Arizona, Jamie Heckerman writes, “Travis gives his heart to the athletes, and we are so incredibly grateful to him for his service.”

Beyond his involvement with Special Olympics, Joralmon is the President of the Flagstaff Lions Club ensuring the organization meets the needs of our local community through projects such as vision testing, feeding the hungry, and assistance for the elderly and disabled. He also sits on the board as the Vice President for Big Brothers Big Sisters Flagstaff and their Executive Committee which oversees the organization’s fundraising, most recently contributing toward events such as Bowl For Kids’ Sake, Charity Golf Tournament, the Big Brothers Big Sisters Breakfast, and the Dave McKay Half Marathon. Travis is also the President for the Flagstaff Youth Hockey Association.

Through all his extensive community involvement, Joralmon has made Flagstaff a better place for all people with needs to work, live, and play.
